Five Point Loma Artists Open Homes and Studios for Annual Point Loma
Artists Art Tour and Sale.
On May 3, from 10 am - 3 pm five members of the Point Loma Artists, a juried arts organization whose members reside in the peninsula area, will open their homes to the public for their annual artists’ tour. 20 Point Loma Artists will be represented in the various homes where art demonstrations, guest artists, refreshments and a wide variety of original art work will be on display and for sale.

Point Loma Artists represent many professional and talented amateur artists who work in a variety of media, from traditional to experimental, both two and three dimensional. Located in one of the loveliest and historical neighborhoods in San Diego, the tour is convenient as well as aesthetically pleasing.
All works of art will be available for your purchase.
There is no entry fee but a portion of all sales goes to support the art outreach projects of Point Loma Artists.

| Georgia Hoopes Displays Watercolor at California Resort 1/15/08 Beginning January 19, 2008 Butterfield Line by Georgia Hoopes will be on display at Warner Hot Springs Resort and will provide a backdrop for a hand carved stagecoach replica of the old Butterfield Stage Coaches that transported passengers across the Anza-Borrego desert. Be sure to stop by the registration desk to see the display case and the watercolor painting when you're visiting the resort. |

| Ann Walker, California Watercolor Society International Show 8/27/07 Point Loma Artist member, Ann Walker was accepted into the California Watercolor 39th Annual International Exhibition. Her transparent watercolor, Arbor Light, pictured on the right, was accepted into the California
Watercolor Association's 39th Annual International Show to be held in San
Francisco at the Officer's Club in the Presidio. The show will run from October
3rd to December 8th.
Artist's Statement: Ann's recent watercolors reflect her unforgettable
impressions of Viet Nam."My paintings, like many I create, reflect an
unquenchable curiosity for discovering humankind's cultures in environments
different from my own. I spend the majority of my travel time igniting the
passion within me to paint." |
