Greg Bowerman began studies in landscape photography in 1982 shortly after graduating from the class of 81, KSU, in veterinary medicine. After retiring from medicine in 2009, this father of two grown children is now devoting full time to exploring the wilderness and creating digital photographic art. Influenced by Cedric Wright, Galen Rowell, Ansel Adams and John Muir, Greg specializes in Sierra Nevada landscapes where he has explored much of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks over the past thirty years.
Successful conveyance of Nature's landscapes by way of photographic art will serve to inspire the viewer and imbue a sense of the miraculous.  In the words of Cedric Wright: "From time immemorial, the universe of the subconscious has been known most clearly in the wilderness". Along these lines, Greg's artistic endeavors have evolved into the objective of preserving a window, a fleeting moment, a glimpse into the time-space continuum; to use the words of Cedric Wright, to preserve a connection into the universe of the subconscious. Greg is an artist painting with light through the lens of a camera.
